Welcome to Andy’s Los Alamos Blog, a project of TeachersFirst.
While I’m at the Los Alamos National Lab/University of New Mexico Los Alamos Summer School, a National Science Foundation REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program, I’ll be keeping a (mostly) bi-daily blog of my experiences, including both research work and my life in Los Alamos, New Mexico. See the “About the Project” and “About Me” pages for more information.
I’ll be flying to Albuquerque, NM on June 1, so be sure to check back soon (and often)!

You forgot to mention your love for the electric ukelele as pivotal in your physics development.

I thought you’d appreciate the Atomic Museum. Very cool. Standing next to replicas of Fat Man and Little Boy just puts things in perspective.
Just a suggestion, if you’re up for a drive, you’ve got to head to Roswell, NM. The UFO Museum is there. Very funny. Look for the building with the spaceship lodged in the side.
